Langley Federal Credit Union has been named the top credit union for Small Business Administration (SBA) loans by the Richmond District Office of the SBA. This is the second year that Langley has won the top credit union award in the district, having won in FY 2013.

"Langley Federal Credit Union is a valued SBA lending partner," said SBA Richmond Deputy District Director, Shirelle Taliaferro. "We were excited to present the Top Credit Union award to Langley for a second time in recent years. We sincerely appreciate the credit union's support of SBA loan programs and its dedication and commitment to meeting the financing needs of Virginia's small businesses."

Langley generated thirteen SBA Loans, totaling $1,373,000 during FY 2016. This was an 86% increase in total loans approved and 172% in total dollars lent over FY 2015. The district spans all of Virginia except the northern Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun. Langley has been offering SBA Loans since 2008.

"The Commercial Lending staff worked extremely hard to increase our SBA loan volume while meeting the needs of our business clients," said Langley Vice President of Commercial Lending Natasha Merz. "It's great to see our hard work and persistence pay off with the recognition from the Richmond District Office of the SBA. We realize the importance small businesses play in our local economy."
