Langley's new Coliseum 'flagship' location pays tribute to Langley's roots in the community while delivering a state-of-the-art banking experience for our members.
NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The new Langley Federal Credit Union Coliseum Branch located at 1055 West Mercury Blvd. in Hampton, Virginia, will officially open on October 3, 2016. The branch will be Langley’s largest in size at approximately 9,500 square feet and feature the latest sustainable building processes to be resource–efficient and environmentally responsible.
Langley tapped into Mother Nature to provide heat removal of the HVAC systems by means of geothermal water source heat pumps. As stated in a recent Department Of Energy article, “Geothermal Heat Pumps can reduce your energy use by 30 - 60%.”
LED lights were also used throughout the site to make a significant impact on electrical consumption. Occupancy-sensored lighting controls and variable frequency drives on the water circulating pumps helps reduce usage and cuts costs.
“Along with a host of other enhancements, we are pleased to say that our new Coliseum branch embraces the latest environmental principles,” stated Senior Vice President Deb Vollmer. “I think members are going to be pleasantly surprised by the open floorplan. This branch demonstrates Langley’s commitment to improve facilities to serve our current members’ needs and also provides room for growth in the future.”
In addition, the branch will feature 16 offices to meet privately with members, 24 hour ATM access, ample tellers for account transactions and safe deposit boxes.
